How to Promote Your Business on Instagram During A Crisis?

Instagram is the most influential mobile applications used by the millennial and Gen-Z population across the world. With a count of 500 million steady users daily and 1 billion users monthly, Instagram statistics witnessed an unbelievable rise in the usage amidst the COVID-19 lockdown.

Before the lockdown, people spent about 53 minutes scrolling through Instagram on an average. But with nothing much to do at home, users are glued to their mobile screens for more than a couple of hours.

With increased screen time during the pandemic, businesses should be burning the midnight oil ‘on Instagram’ to get their business through the surging and undefined apocalypse.

How to promote your business during a crisis?

To stand out of the 25 million business accounts, it is best to promote your business wisely to grab attention from more eyeballs who are spending hours on phones and laptops than ever. However, you need to find the fine line of overselling and smart selling suiting the global circumstances.

Without wasting any more of this crucial time, let’s get rolling with how to encash your Instagram handle.

#0 Your business ideas

You can promote a business which is quite needed these days, or is of interests of users. For example, Laser engraving on metals is a field in which you can grow a lot.

“Laser etching metal is possible to do at home with relatively low-power lasers. In order to successfully etch metal with a laser, you’re going to need a machine equipped with a laser rated for at least 60 W of power. A laser with a power rating less than 60 W will, at best, leave a pale shadow of your art on the metal.”

#1 Choose your content wisely

Already planned advertising campaigns and brand promotions will have a dwindling effect amidst the pandemic situation. People are constantly envisaging and trying hard to keep their mental and emotional health stable. Amidst such grave happenings around the world, people are surely not interested in mainstream sales and advertisements.

I would recommend a peculiar revision of your scheduled posts according to the current situation worldwide. Relevant and socially aware content that connects people is the call of the hour.

#2 Acknowledge Your Customers and Staff

This is the best time to say thank you to all the people who have contributed and participated in the journey of your business. Amidst all the chaos a small gesture of acknowledgement will go a long way.

Also, make sure you thank all your staff members who are coming to the office or working from home despite all the odds. Designing a few posts that thank all the pivotal members of your organization will imbibe a sense of satisfaction for working with your company.

If you would like to learn more about the steps that businesses can take to ensure that the transition back to the workplace is a success, Zenefits made a return to work guide that is filled with helpful tips and resources.

#3 Tell Your Customers About Your Operations

If you are already operating or planning to operate your manufacturing and delivery options, make sure your customers know about all the precautionary steps being taken.

A well-captured and well-written ‘behind the scenes’ of your production line will be helpful for people to trust the safety measure of your products. Social distancing and sanitation were ignored and created a serious upsurge in the number of cases. Hence, I personally advise that you tell your customers that your business is completely cautious about employee and customer health.

#4 Contribute in The Welfare of The Society

Contributing to society is an exceptional step to promote your business. Good work will be noticed and acknowledged in the Instagram world as well. Many good deeds of businesses went viral amidst the pandemic and received great recognition. Hence, contribute to society and let people know about it with stories or posts. Also, make it a point to retweet and appreciate the good work others are doing. Support the local business owners, feed the street animals, help the poor with food, initiate campaigns with an NGO.

Let people know that you are a helpful business owner. These steps will be etched in the minds of people and a new flock of people will venture into becoming your customers in future.

#5 Communicate With Your Customers

With home quarantine and social distancing, people are missing human interaction and communication. Well, this is the best time to connect with people socially and interact with them.

I strongly suggest not oversee any direct messages that you receive in your inbox. Make sure you reply to the most of them and prepare frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) list and answer them through a post or stories so that your followers feel connected to your business and brand.

However, a live session for people to talk and communicate is highly powerful to reach out to your followers. Talking about random things in the live session while directly communicating via comments or split-screen is a recommended move during the pandemic lockdown.

#6 Free Virtual Classes regarding your business

Instagram’s live session is on the top list for businesses to reach out to more and more people. For example, if your business is a cosmetic line then you can educate people about the best skincare routines with your products. Talk about the pros of each product and how it can transform skin health completely. And there are many other ways to attract your clients too.

Such real-time conversations or classes will harvest an immense impact on your audience. Come up with unique and different ideas for your live sessions and throw some challenges with winning prizes and vouchers.

#7 Use the IGTV option

IGTV’s feature was a welcome for all the users and business owners amongst the other marketing tools. Businesses can talk and feature information for more than a minute and with increased screen time, it is the best time to make use of the feature.

Put up interesting information and how one can use it effectively in their lives. For example, if you own a gym you can put up fitness videos for all body types on your IGTV and stay well connected to all the layers of audience.

#8 Do Not Hoard Your Customers with News

People across the globe are already reading quite a lot of news, you need not add to it. The pandemic has ignited anxiety and depression levels amongst human beings. This is an extremely cautious step to keep out of the news and keep people entangled in activities that will help them divert their minds and keep calm.

#9 Talk About Trends

The pandemic has seen innumerable trends throughout the lockdown. You also need to be an active part of the trends. Using hashtags and viral tags will help you reach out to a larger chunk of people.

Nonetheless, you cannot turn a blind eye to all the social issues that ignited worldwide fire amidst the pandemic. George Floyd killing was a global protest and if your Instagram handle fails to recognize the issue, can be a serious problem. However, put out well-informed and honest opinions about incidents. Half-baked information can pose threats to your reputation.

#10 Get Feedback

It is the best time to gain positive and negative feedback for your products. Arranging a question and answer session with your loyal customers and knowing things they do not like about the product will help know what the customers want.

This is an important step to make your audience feel welcomed with their thoughts and opinions in your business. Feedbacks can also be gained with Instagram reviews and feedback.

#11 Flexible and Revised Plans

During uncertain and fluid situations, your promotions plans must be flexible enough to make an impact during the pandemic. A revised plan and well-structured strategies will help you promote your business in the right direction.

#12 Build an Emotional Relationship

An emotional relationship with the customers will be helpful for your business. Honest testimonials, replying to messages, helping people, polls, reaching out to people with positive thoughts and connecting to other brands to help people will help build an emotional relationship with your target audience. A strong emotional bond will establish brand relationships for a longer run than ever.

Conclusion

Instagram is one of the best tools to invest during a pandemic and global crisis. Make the best out of the time and impact an exceptional number of people through your Instagram handle. Be creative, connect to the customers and concentrate on your business promotion.

What is the best Linktree alternative?

If you are using some sort of social networks you might have heard of Linktree, a website to add multiple links in one place. It is true that Linktree is one of the most famous websites in this market, but still there are rooms for further improvements. Users are looking increasingly for Linktree alternatives to get a more advanced free tools to manage their links.

What is a landing page?

A landing page is a web page that you can insert anything in it. Indeed, a landing page is where your visitors come and see all about you. A landing page can be your resume, portfolio, your social links, all URL, favorite music, videos, or anything you prefer your visitors know about you. You can also add a short biography about yourself to give more information to users.

A landing page is like a website that only have one page! you can get customers, build connections, get visitors, make friends, or even give others a place to find all about you for free! Yes, making a landing page is free!

Linktree is one of those websites that helps you to make your landing page for free but it is not all the story.

Like many other tools, Linktree users found that there are some gaps about it. compare to other landing page makers, Linktree is not stunning. It is true that is free, but with limited options and you cannot customize your web page. so, users started to look for another website that gives the same services, but more quality, with more options.

What is Linktree?

Linktree is a platform to combine many URLs into one single URL on a webpage. This single webpage is also called a landing page which is described. This single URL which belongs to a landing page is usually used for social media, or any places that you can only put one URL. Or even where you are going to redirect your audiences to the specific places.

Many of us may have an Instagram or Facebook accounts with thousands of followers. Everyone now knows that having an Instagram account with this condition is worthy and you can even make money on Instagram if you have audiences. But how?

Fortunately, Instagram has provided an option for its users to link their website in the Instagram bio. So, if you have any products to sell, and you have Instagram followers, you can easily share the website URL in bio, and make Instagram followers to the potential customers.

But it is not all the story! Few of us can own a website because of many reasons. Yes, it is somehow expensive. But thanks to the technology that made it easy to make a landing page instead.

Here are some examples of Linktree landing pages.

What are the Linktree cons?

From Linktree reviews, it seems that the landing page design is one of the weakness of this tools. Another disadvantage is limited option to customize the web page. for example, if you have a brand with the black background, you cannot customize the landing page based on the color you want. You should use the fixed colors there.

A landing page is a place that many of your audience visit it, so, you need something that really defines you. And the more important thing is that it should attract the visitors at the first visit.

So, it should be something different and amazing to keep the visitors at your page. the more they stay there, the more they click on your links (which all is of great benefits for you).

So, you might need a smarter tool, or template to design a unique landing page with all your URLs, socials, and connections. Once, you share it on your social media, everyone can go to where you like to go (from your landing page, you can redirect them).

What is the Linktree alternative?

I was searching the internet to find the best available alternative to Linktree. Specially to fill up the gap. I found iLink website that I feel is the best alternative to Linktree which is also a free tool to make a landing page.

But what I found amazing about the iLink is as follow:

  • It’s free for lifetime!

You can create a landing page for free. The landing page would help you to add as many links as you have including videos, audios, or photos, and URLs.

  • Unique design

If you are going to present a brand, or your own design, and colors, iLink has provided the opportunity for you to design your landing page as you need.

iLink has recently added a new feature, that animates background. So, the color would change as you want. This gives a sense of uniqueness and attraction to the web page you have created. This option is not available in the Linktree landing page.

Another iLink feature, that allow you to create an online brochure for your products if you have any. If you are selling any products on Instagram, using iLink iStore you can add a catalogue to your Instagram bio with all products. The iStore is also very functional for users, and they can sort the products out according to their needs. For example, price, popularity, brands, categories, etc.

  • Support

ILink experts are available 24/7 to give users tips or guidance if there are any issues for them.

Conclusion

If you are looking for Linktree alternatives to get a more stunning landing page, I would suggest iLink. It is well worth it because of its design options, different types of background, customizable theme, and many other features.

Instagram DM Marketing for small businesses

Instagram DM, also known as the Instagram Direct Message, is a free feature that lets the users message each other on Instagram. Texts, images, links, videos, stories, and posts can be sent through a DM.

Instagram Direct Messages are one of the most underestimated tools when it comes to social media marketing. If businesses find out about the potentials of the Instagram DM, they will start re-planning their social media marketing strategy, giving a special space to DM marketing on Instagram.

The fact is that having a small business is a two-folded reality. While you don’t have a large business’s troubles and headaches, there is much to do to survive the ever-tightening competition in small businesses’ trail – save the desire to grow into a large corporation. One of the vitals to a small business’s survival is, no doubt, having a consistent marketing strategy.

That said, this blog post is dedicated to Instagram Direct Messages and Instagram DM marketing

let’s take a look at some Instagram statistics regarding brands and businesses.

As revealed by adespresso.com, brands and companies are having a large portion of Instagram attention for themselves. Keeping these numbers in mind, let’s see what a small business can do to benefit from this situation.

What is DM?

Instagram DM, also known as the Instagram Direct Message, is a free feature that lets the users message each other on Instagram. Texts, images, links, videos, stories, and posts can be sent through a DM. Instagram Direct message is both a private and group chat feature. Facebook has developed a free stand-alone app for it, called Threads from Instagram, in which only circles of close friends can get in touch.

You can access the Instagram direct messages on the top right corner of Instagram home:

How to use Instagram DM for small businesses?

Instagram DMs make up to 56% of the sales on Instagram. Therefore, having a consistent plan for DM strategy on Instagram brings about more sales and profit for small businesses and brands.

While the Instagram DM mechanism seems quite simple, most people don’t know how to use it for brand and product promotion goals. So, here are the most effective ways to apply DM marketing on Instagram:

  1. Use Instagram DM to welcome new followers

Welcoming new followers will nurture the relationship between the brand and the audience. When greeted warmly, new followers know that you care, and it leads to more loyalty on the side of the audience.

  1. Promote new products and updates through Instagram direct messages

DM is a great tool when it comes to product and update announcements. In a message, tell your customers what is new and what is to come. People love to hear on updates because this gives them a feeling that they are interacting with a live and dynamic business.

  1. Offer your Instagram followers great discounts in DMs

Exclusively crafted DMs for offering discounts lead to incredible amounts of conversion both in sales and Instagram performance.

  1. Hold contests and contact the winner through Instagram DM

Starting a competition and announcing it through DMs, and also following up the winners with direct messages give the feeling of exclusivity and specialty to a brand’s followers. Use the Instagram DM free tool to its fullest and hack your sales growth.

There are also four trust factors to consider before making up any messages for marketing purposes on Instagram (and any other social media):

  1. Accuracy

About 99% of customers pay attention to the accuracy of advertisements before trusting a brand; accuracy in terms of product explanations, related statistics, prices, quality, etc. If you are going to mislead your audience, then wait for losing them, because they will compare the information provided by you with other sources. So talk about both the positive and negative aspects of your product in the direct message.

  1. Exclusivity

Make your customers feel special. Send them Instagram DM’s that seem as if crafted only for them. Know their needs and tastes, and divide them into different categories. Then crafting an exclusive direct message will be more comfortable. About 77% of people also consider exclusive ads when it comes to trusting a business.

  1. Transparency

It is fascinating that 97% of people also care about the mission of your business. Inform them in Instagram DM what your product does, which problems it aims and how it’s going to solve them.

  1. Choice

Offering different choices to your customers makes up another important factor based on which people choose to trust you. Having a variety of relevant and exclusive choices is important to 95% of the customers.

Add these trust elements to your previous mindset on Instagram DM marketing and start selling;)

Are there any tools for Instagram DM marketing?

Well, as a business page owner on Instagram, you know how frustrating it is to keep up with the growing number of your audience and followers and build a customer-care oriented relationship with them. You need to send Instagram direct messages to:

  • Welcome new followers;
  • Promote new products;
  • Announce discounts;
  • Shout-out new updates on the brand;
  • Hold contests and connect with the winners; and
  • Reach out to reply to received messages from your audience.

How much time and energy will it take from you to, for instance, welcome at least 200 new followers a day, manually? Or wouldn’t it be frustrating to let know all of your followers, one by one, about a new product, or a recent update, or a discount, or whatever?

Honestly, just thinking about it drove me insane, were I about to market my brand on Instagram.

There are few web-based platforms out there that let you do the DM Marketing on Instagram right from the comfort of your PC desktop. A few of these tools are in line with Instagram’s terms of services and guidelines and the rest are literally spotted as spam by Instagram.

These platforms are called “Auto DM Bot” or simply “Instagram Auto DM.” But what are these tools and why are more businesses using them?

Also, for more information about Advertising & Marketing on Instagram refer to the Virtual User website.

What are Instagram DM limits?

An Instagram Direct Message text can be no more than 1000 characters. Also, users might get action blocked if they send more than what is allowed on DM for 24 hours. Although there is no approved source of information to say what the limits are, most of the time, people are allowed to send between 50 to 100 Instagram DMs during a day. However, it doesn’t mean that if an Instagram user sends, say, about 30 messages in a day, Instagram won’t hunt them down.

The fact is that Instagram has different parameters and criteria to set the Direct Message limits for every single user (which they have never revealed in a formal mode of publicity). These might include:

  • User’s amount of activity on Instagram,
  • The profile’s age, and
  • The number of user’s connections on Instagram.

What might get you DM action blocked?

  • Sending the same set of messages over and over to the same or different Instagramers;
  • Exceeding the hourly limit of message numbers (which differs from user to user); and
  • Getting reported as a result of sending messages to non-followers.

To Wrap Up

As most of the brands and businesses under-use Instagram DM for their promotion, small businesses have a great chance to advance their sales through DMs. Take your time and plan a comprehensive strategy with the help of Auto DM tools.

What are the differences between B2B and B2C marketing?

Knowing the differences between B2B and B2C is very important in your marketing strategy since each of these marketing methods suits a certain business based on your target audience.

Knowing the differences between B2B and B2C is very important in your marketing strategy since each of these marketing methods suits a certain business based on your target audience.

It is a well-known fact that both B2B and B2C are forms of marketing, and they have a lot of similarities, but meanwhile, they are different in many ways as well. There are people, however, who still don’t differentiate the two and end up using less-productive techniques in their businesses. Of course, the primary purpose of these marketing methods is to reach various target group. The distinctive feature, though, is the route that each one of them takes to achieve the objectives.

The main aim of these marketing methods are to reach audiences and sell services, products, etc. but the way B2B and B2C use to get what they want is surely different. Before getting to know the differences between these two marketing ways, we would go on with brief definitions of what B2B and B2C actually are.

What are B2C and B2C marketing?

As it can somehow be derived from the word itself, B2C, which stands for business to consumer, is the marketing of a business to consumers which are individuals and folks (people like us). These kinds of businesses sell directly to consumers.

Some businesses aim to sell products or offer their services to professional buyers rather than individuals and people who need them. They sell directly to businesses. This type of marketing is considered as B2B, which stands for business to business marketing methods. B2B marketing needs more logic, decision-makers, formalities, and differs from B2C in some ways that we are going to know more about it below. Because of the complications involved, it’s usually recommended that you employ the services of B2B marketing agencies. This way, you’ll be able to reach your target audience without having to eat up a huge part of your budget.

What are the main differences between B2C and B2B marketing?

The fact that both of them are methods of marketing shows that they’re similar in a way. However, that’s not to say they don’t share a set of differences. You might think that since both of the methods involve a person trying to buy something for their personal use or for their business, then the marketing is done to person. Well, that could be the case, but it’s not entirely so.

It is true that when you try to market a business, you are getting a person or decision-maker to buy its stuff, whether for their business or personal use, but there are some major differences between business to business and business to consumer marketing.

Imagine you offer an analytic and monitoring software for social media. If you are marketing it to a business, you must show that specific business that your software can save them a lot of energy and time and as a result, they’d have more money in their pockets, and that’s what they want from using the software. In other words, you’d have to prove that the benefits of your product surpass it’s initial and any other subsequent expenses.

On the other hand, if you aim to market your software to consumers, you need to show them how your software can make their daily tasks and life easier, you have to clarify its options and facilities in detail, so they’ll be convinced into using your software for their social media accounts to manage them easier. Basically, you’re required to show the buyer that they’ll enjoy the value for their money by adding something new to their life.

Some of the differences between B2B and B2C marketing are listed below:

  1. Who you are targeting (your audience)

As you know by now, the target audience in these two methods of marketing is different. In B2C, the audience of your business are people who aim to buy your product for their own use and to benefit from it in their everyday lives. On the other hand, in B2B, the audience of your business is another business that looks to use your product to improve its operations and serve its clients better.

  1. The language and tone you use

After determining who your target audience is and which kind of marketing you want to go with, the second thing to consider is the language you have to use throughout the procedure of marketing your business, service, or product.

It is obvious that the language you should use in B2B is way more professional and consists of much industry jargon and is mostly focused on the overall usage and benefits of the whole brand rather than the product or service itself.

But when it comes to B2C, you should be more specific in introducing the product to its consumers, so you must use a language that is simple to be understood by your consumers.

Another thing you have to pay attention to is to know which tone to use in each of the methods. In B2B, the tone must be more professional and formal, for sure. Since your audiences are very knowledgeable and are the expecting individuals of another business. However, in B2C you can keep your tone less formal. In fact, it is better to be a bit humorous and informal so that you get people’s attention. Regular consumers are mostly attracted by entertaining content – videos and pictures – rather than more technical language. Therefore, be sure to balance the two if you’re running a B2C marketing campaign.

  1. The goal you are seeking

As previously said, the main goal of marketing, either B2B or B2C, is to get your desired group of people or a business to buy the things you are producing or to use the service you are offering. But there is another difference in the purpose you hold on your kind of marketing.

B2B marketing is more concerned with building relationships and proving a product’s return on investment for a business consumer. In B2B it is very important to build and maintain a relationship between your business and the target business which is interested in working with you because that can later lead to long-time business cooperation between your companies.

Meanwhile, the main goal of B2C is to drive sales to your business and get more people to your website for more traffic and attention.

  1. The time you have to spend

The time you put for marketing with B2C is much less than the time you have to spend marketing to another business, and that’s because in marketing to a business, you have to put a lot of time and effort introducing your product or service in details, to the target business so that they’ll decide to keep this long-time purchase.

Another reason why the B2B marketing process needs more time is that it is a contract based procedure that would take months or even years to complete. You can sign a purchase contract in B2C as well, but the timeframe is much shorter.

  1. The decision-making process

Now we have reached one of the most important differences between these two types of marketing. It is an undeniable fact that “emotions” play a big role in deciding whether to buy a thing or not, but this more affects individual consumers. So businesses must put emotions aside and make rational and logical decisions.

You need to be very specific in introducing your product or service to the business consumer since they need to convince a lot more stakeholders to make a final decision of purchasing from you. So in B2B, you need to have a lot of strong data and carry on logically. You need to keep having communications with your consumer business so that both sides would reach a result of how this can benefit them.

On the other hand, when you market using B2C, you should target a consumer’s heart, since nowadays most of the decisions we make to buy things are made with our hearts rather than minds. A consumer would decide to buy the product you offer emotionally, just because they need it or they have heard a good review or watched a great ad of it.

  1. The decision-makers

On the B2C method, usually an individual himself would make the decision of buying a thing, and no other people are involved in this. This purchase decision is made by the influence of family and friends, reading some reviews, hearing good things about a specific product, or watching an impressive advertisement. But unlike B2C, B2B is way more complicated, and more than one person and department are engaged with the decision of buying a product or service.

The purchase needs to be approved by some people like Procurement, accounting, and department heads, and not only one person is responsible for making the decision. The decision should be later reviewed by different stakeholders and checked by multiple decision-makers.

  1. The marketing platforms

Now, it is time to make more people notice you and your business and hear your voice. You should consider a platform you can reach more people to drive more sales. It could be either more traditional platforms like TV, newspaper, magazines, and radio, or a bit more modern channels like social media to market your business.

First, you need to know which social media would work the best for you and best suit your business and has more of your relevant audience. Your priorities should be platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, which are used by more people and are among the most popular social media these days. But you might not want to have activity on all of them, and you want to make a more specific choice.

What is the best social media platform for B2B?

If you use B2C, as your marketing method, you need to know your audience can be found anywhere, because every social media is full of different people with different tastes and you can find your consumers almost on all platforms. But for some certain industries, some platforms work the best. For example, if your company is somehow related to photography, videos, graphics and all that, Instagram and Pinterest are your best choices since they are focused on these kinds of things and high-quality pictures and videos.

For B2B, you can also keep marketing your content on all social media sites, but keep in mind that if you want to have more chance, you should pay attention to LinkedIn the most, since it is a business-focused social media channel and more relevant people can be found there who might be willing to purchase from you in the future.

Now that you know almost everything about what Business to business and business to consumer marketing are and what are their most important differences, you are on your way to market your business more successfully choosing the method that suits your industry the best. Just remember to carefully choose your target audience because that’s what is going to determine your marketing method.

What is guest blogging and why it’s important for businesses?

Guest blogging, also known as Guest posting, is somehow an exchange in the content between two business websites, which is a very effective way of marketing your business.

Guest blogging, also known as Guest posting, is somehow an exchange in the content between two business websites, which is a very effective way of marketing your business.

It is a well-known fact for bloggers or business owners that blogging is one of the many ways they can increase the traffic of their website or blog and Guest blogging is a method on marketing one’s blog which is still a very effective and highly used way of getting more attention to your blogs.

What is Guest blogging?

Guest blogging also known as Guest posting is somehow an exchange in the content between two business websites in which you would offer to write a blog for a business website that has the same niche as you or is at least somehow related to your business. In return, you’ll get the chance to give backlinks and to link the blog to your blog, and this way, you have used that website’s audiences and views to get more traffic for your blog. However, if you don’t want to put in a lot of effort you can also use Guest Posting Services to get backlinks faster.

Guest posting on similar industries’ websites is used mostly to drive more traffic to a bloggers site and is still a very popular blog promotion method. You might still be thinking of why should I post a blog on other people’s websites? How can that benefit me? And most importantly, what is the goal of becoming a guest blogger?

Let me explain that If you own a startup business to grow and nobody yet knows about it, the guest posting strategy is very effective and cost-worthy ways you can try out to reach more relevant audiences and get more traffic on the website. This is not only for startups or small businesses, and even larger companies can benefit from blogging on different similar blogs as a guest.

Why is guest blogging important?

You might be thinking it’s just useless to write on someone else’s blog as a guest, but you surely are unaware of the benefits becoming a guest blogger can have for any businesses’ growth and websites’ traffic.

It is not important whether you are an individual blogger or a large corporation, having a good guest blogging strategy will help in increasing business sales and so many other things. To convince you to start a unique guest blogging strategy, below, I’ll mention some of why is guest blogging important and what are its benefits for any business:

  1. Shower your site with more Traffic

The more backlinks a site has, the more credit it gets. By having a good guest blogging strategy, give your site the opportunity to get backlinks from different sources, and this boosts businesses’ credit a lot. The more online traffic you get, the better business would grow, and if this traffic is achieved through links, it would directly be counted as more organic engagement which is all a business website needs for popularity.

When you write a guest blog in relevant niches, this will help to show you as an authority, and you will be known as someone who knows about that subject and has quality knowledge. That builds up more credit on your website, so you’ll get more clicks on links.

  1. Build more visibility and search engine authority (SEO)

Becoming a guest blogger on websites with high domain authority and in easy words, the blogs which are visited more and are popular among users can help anyone to become more visible and gain more search engine authority. When we guest post on a well-known website, we are opening our site’s arms to a huge amount of traffic without investing in advertisements or buying links from other sites and without applying lots of SEO tactics.

If you apply a good guest blogging strategy and publish a blog as a post on another blog and include your blog link (which is usually in the author bio), these links are crawled by the search engines and no one can imagine how beneficial that can be for blogs’ SEO and visibility.

  1. An effective and cheap marketing method

Imagine you are representing a new business that nobody still knows about, and you have wisely chosen online marketing over traditional marketing because you know it is more effective nowadays since social media and internet have conquered the world and can connect millions of people all over the globe to each other.

You do not have enough budget to start paying different authorized sites to advertise your business, and you cannot consider Influencer marketing since it costs too much! So what is a cheap way to market your small business?

Think of guest blogging as an option because this way you can market your own business or startup easily with actually no cost and your voice would be reached to a lot of new audiences and benefit from another website’s popularity and traffic and make them your audiences as well.

Disappointing fact: Here pops up a sad truth that some sites might want the guest blogger to pay for publishing guest blogs, which is normal and might be because of the high amount of traffic that site has, but even if we had to pay, in most cases it is worth it, and it costs less than other marketing strategies. But it is yet better to find sites that offer us free opportunities to guest blog.

  1. Develop credits and become more reputable

One of the biggest benefits guest blogging has for us is the reconnection we get from it. When we want to submit a guest post on a blog, in most cases we have to add a short bio of yourself, write our names and at last upload, a profile picture of that helps us to be known and noticed amongst the similar bloggers of our niche, and our work can be recognized easier.

Remember when posting as a guest on a website, you are getting a bit of a site’s audience and attention because the audiences of that site trust that specific host blog and would also trust your content. So try to create good content that is relevant and gives the audiences an answer to their questions and do not just try to advertise all the time and give them free information and solutions. Besides that, be a little creative and give smart backlinks and advertise a bit about your business and its offers.

That’s why we recommend finding relevant websites because if you just publish content anywhere that has nothing to do with what you do, it would be considered as spam, both by the search engine and the audiences of that site and you have somehow ruined your name and reputation this way. So just be on point.

  1. Gain more writing skills and experience

I have to confess that I have started my own writing just to answer questions that I was interested in on platforms like Quora and Reddit. Things like animals and movies, but gradually I thought, why not write a bit more professional on a specific subject? That was when I chose social media as my main topic and started reading articles about it and began writing articles and Instagram and other social media platforms.

Practice makes perfect, and that was proved to me after I kept guest blogging on different sites. I was becoming better and better in writing as days passed, and that was because I needed to write appropriately so that I could get my guest blog published on many sites since so many of the host blogs are so picky about the articles they publish and you should think a lot and plan your content before writing, and that’s how you can improve and the more you improve the better you can market your business, and you’ll create more informative and worthy blogs for guest posting.

  1. Build Influence and relevant relationships

As told above, Guest blogging is somehow an act of exchange with which you would offer to write an article for a blog as a guest, and in return, you’ll get the chance to give backlinks in the blog. Businesses can help each other this way, and both sides can benefit from this. When you guest blog, make sure to make a useful and beneficial article for the host blog because that can be a start of a partnership that starts from a single guest blog and might later turn into a partnership or long-time content exchange.

Another mentionable thing when marketing businesses with a guest blogging strategy is that you should have healthy online connections and relationships so that the act of networking would be easier for you. If you have special knowledge or are introducing a similar business on another site, guest posting can help you a lot because this way you can build relationships both, with new audiences and your niche’s markets bloggers for further partnership and content exchange.

  1. Know other’s opinions and get criticized

Use other people’s ideas and welcome new ideas and criticism. If we keep posting on our sites, we might not receive even a single comment or email because we are not that big yet or people do not feel comfortable sharing their opinions with us. But when guest posting on other sites which are bigger than us, we were noticed by a lot more people who do not care much about what you do so they’d freely criticize your business and content by pointing out to its flaws. This will let us use their ideas to improve marketing and business strategies.

  1. Grow social media accounts

As a business, it’s important to care about a lot of things rather than just the traffic of the site, in order to be successful. Build strong social media profiles so that the people who search for you would see a powerful and trustworthy business rather than a profile with no credit, activity, and followers.

If you want more customers and audience, be active on social media as well as other sites and becoming successful on social media accounts, requires to be seen, use guest blogging as a bridge that people can use to connect social media profiles. After writing a great guest blog, people might want to reach out to you to read more and get to know you better, so they’d come up searching your name on social media platforms, or they’ll be easily redirected to your profiles from the information you have written on the author box below the guest post. The more people reaching out to your social media accounts the more audience you get for your business.

How to become a guest blogger?

Now that you know how beneficial guest blogs are for your business’s visibility and popularity, I want to show the steps one should take in order to establish yourself as a credible guest blogger. At this stage, you are wondering how to become a guest blogger, so here we go to get more information on becoming a guest blogger:

  1. Choose a specific niche and stick with it

I mentioned above as well that you should have a specific niche to write about to establish yourself in that specific niche. This is so important for staying relevant. You should not be known as somebody who jumps from one field to another. Just try to make yourself an expert in the niche. The articles and guest posts you write should be related to your business and what it offers, so stay within your niche.

  1. Have your own blog and keep it updated

It would be very difficult and almost impossible if you do not have any sites or blogs in which your style of writing and content can be evaluated. Moreover, this means that you are not a reliable source and might not be allowed to share blogs on so many sites as a guest if you do not have something to show off and to prove yourself with. So the first step in becoming a guest blogger is to develop a blog and to fill it with good quality content about your business and niche.

  1. Have a stable social media presence

If you are seeking to benefit from the traffic of a site, have something to offer in return to the host blog as well. After you submit an appeal for a guest post, someone from the host blog would definitely investigate a bit about your business and its authority to see if your blog is worth being published on their site or not. So, be active on various social media platforms, and have some followers and activities to show any visitor who you are and why they should trust you.

Why would someone want to allow a business which has zero followers and activities on their twitter or LinkedIn account to guest post on their site?

  1. Team up with others in the industry

Guest blogging opportunities might be just in front of your eyes, and you might be ignoring them without realizing it, and that’s because you think of all other bloggers as competitors, which is a huge mistake in marketing. Team up with some of the business blogs which have the same niche as you, and this way, both of you can benefit from exchanging content and traffic.

  1. Contact the blogs you want to guest blog on

The last step and meanwhile the most important and sensitive step to start guest blogging is to contact the site you wish to share a guest post o and write to them about interests, experiences/skills in writing and your businesses’ niche.

After that, give them the link to the site in order that the blog’s owner visits your website for evaluating writing and getting to know the business to decide whether or not to accept your guest blogging appeal or not.

How to Find Guest Blogging Opportunities (Where can I guest blog?)

It can sometimes be difficult to find sites that would accept guest posting or even if they do, they might not consider every blog as a worthy one to be published on their site. To find yourself some opportunities to guest blog on bigger sites, consider doing the steps below:

  1. Make a list of similar blogs

If you wish to use guest blogging as a marketing tactic to grow your business and increase the traffic of the site, consider blogging on sites that have the same niche as you. So the very first step is to search for them to find them. Just head to Google and search some keyword phrases describing your niche. After Omitting the ad results, the first 200 results are the best and are more useful for you to guest post on.

Imagine you want to write a guest post on “marketing.” The keywords would be things such as: “how to start marketing,” “how to market your business,” and “marketing tips.” This way, find the top sites similar to your niche, and then you can opt to appeal for guest blogging on them.

  1. Find out which sites accept Guest blogs

There are two ways to find out if the chosen sites in the list accept guest blogs or not. The first way is to look throughout that specific site in sections like “contact us” to see if they have mentioned anything about guest posting or not. In some sites, it is written as “write for us,” which means that the website is inviting the guest visitor to submit posts.

Another way is to search your keywords with the following search terms:

In order to find the relevant sites that accept guest posts from others, you need to search in the format above. The picture is taken from https://www.forbes.com/sites/lilachbullock/2019/02/22/how-to-find-guest-blogging-websites-4-easy-tips/#22578e2931bd.

  1. Use tools that help you find guest blogging opportunities

There are some tools that are very useful in finding guest posting sites and give you the best guest blogging strategies. Use Alexa’s Find Similar Sites for finding websites similar to yours. Although none of such tools are specifically built for this purpose (for finding guest blogging opportunities), they can prove to be very useful to your search.

Tip: Now that you have made the desired list of websites you want to submit a guest post to, research whether these sites have writing guidelines or not and read the tips and guidelines carefully so that your post would not be taken down or face any issues while being published.

Conclusion

Guest blogging has been a very effective marketing tactic over the years because of the great number of benefits it provides for a business. It increases traffic, credibility, visibility, authority, and search rank of your website with the given backlinks, and it is cost-free. Guest blogging is a must-use strategy for every small to big business wanting to reach out to new audiences.

B2B and B2C are two different business models with several similarities and differences, but both of them have the same goal, which is a sale.

First of all, let’s clarify their meaning and then go through their differences. B2B indicates “business to business,” and it sells its products to other businesses. B2C indicates “business to customer,” and it sells products directly to consumers.

B2B orders have some features typically in common such as:

  • Fewer customers
  • Larger orders
  • Higher value orders
  • Longer decision time
  • Longer relationships
  • Longer transaction time

On the other hand, B2C customers typically have:

  • More customers
  • Smaller orders
  • Lowers value orders
  • Shorter decision times
  • Shorter relationship
  • Shorter transaction time

Here are some general differences between B2B and B2C in a glance:

Beside many differences, B2B and B2C business systems are similar in some ways such as building trust to people. They also do their best to provide excellent customer service, and they value the customer relationship, and their main goal is a sail.

Way of selling

B2C platforms are different, and they can be online or offline, somewhere which is crowded. Online includes websites, social media, etc. and offline includes supermarkets, TV advertisements, shopping mall, etc.

But big companies don’t appear in these places, and definitely they don’t choose their products there. So where would they find the products?

Businesses participate in trade fairs, investment conferences, special online B2B platforms, and then several people such as manager, accountant, consultant, etc. decide whether to buy a product or not.

Sale process

It is clear that B2C doesn’t have a procedure, and it would start and finish fast.

But in B2B, you need to have a contract, and the payment process may take longer.

B2B buying process:

B2C buying process:

Decision-making process

B2C is totally a personal decision, and it doesn’t take long to make up your mind about buying a product. You may just be interested in the salesperson’s behavior and decide to buy, so emotional communication plays an important role in the purchasing process. Also in B2C, costumers decide to purchase themselves or sometimes it might happen that they consult with their family and friends, but it won’t be more complicated than that.

In B2C marketing, a group of people decides whether to buy a product or not, and no emotional communication or an individual decision can work. Also, businesses need more time to make a decision, and it requires group approval, so it may take a long time to hear from them. Moreover, they would ask for a discount.

Sales Speed

Obviously B2C transactions are faster than B2B because it is direct to customers while B2B transactions may take months and companies may receive their products in different ways such as shipping, air freight, sea freight, etc.

Client Relationships

Generally, the B2C market is larger than B2B. For being successful in B2B, businesses should develop good relationships with different companies for having long-term contracts and growing relationships.

Prices of Products

B2C products have lowered prices, and all consumers pay the same price, while B2B products might be 2 or 3 times more than B2C products and the payment is based on the agreement, and their contract and the price may differ based on several factors such as the future cooperation and the past buying history.

Emotions and logics

In B2C, the emotion causes the purchase, and most of the time, there is no logic during the purchase, and customers look for the benefits that you recommend them. They decide fast, and it could take a few minutes or at most a few days.

While in B2B, companies make conscious decisions that are based on logic rather than emotions. It means that they make a purchase based on their company’s needs, and not their own desire and personal emotions.

Length of the Business Relationship

Usually, B2C business relationships are considered as a short time business relationship, and it depends on the customer’s loyalty. For example, a mom who buys milk for her child may decide to buy another brand after a month, or she may choose juice over milk.

It seems that B2B business relationships last longer, and they need a long time to make their final decision in buying a product or service. Also, they hardly change their decision, and they keep using a product.

Conclusion

B2B and B2C are two different systems, and both need different strategies.

Knowing all we mentioned above, you might have come up with the result that B2B sales are more complicated than B2C sales. Also, you should know that each of them needs specific strategies to be successful.
